Registration on the International Youth Conference on Gender Equality and Human Rights (5-7th February 2023 in Helsinki, Finland) has began.

Gender Equality Youth Conference 2023 is an official platform for the constructive exchange of ideas, as well as for making summaries and general statements. The best participants from the workshops, trainings and discussion will be invited and as many different youth units as possible will be involved, from schools to youth centers. In addition to the specific work already done, the conference will add a new dimension to the topic by involving the views of recognized experts who are not necessarily qualified in terms of training. It also contributes to the wider dissemination of the project’s general ideas and goals in society, as it helps to gain greater media attention.

The main goal of the international confernece is to discuss on gender equality in the education system and how to ensure early intervention in the perpetuation of prejudices and stereotypes and it be constructive exchange of ideas, as well as presentation of main project outcomes and acknowledgement of main contributors and partners.

Conference will be based on shared experience and knowledge of young people on norm criticism, 4R and active participation methods and it’s dedicated for active young people & educators. Conference will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshop conducted by experts and youth and sharing own experience session on gender equality and links between power relations and norms. We will combine norm criticism with other tools and methods.

Also at the conference will be organised presentation of main the main project results ( educational toolkit on Gender Equality for teachers and students, web-resource and proposals for education institution in mainstraiming gender equality) and acknowledgement of main contributors and partners.

The international conference is open to all interested young people, individuals, representatives from public, private, and civil society sectors, who are interested or working daily for implementation of UN SDG agenda and integration of Gender Equality and Equl treatmet principals in school,
